Before you start driving lessons or practice driving, it is necessary to complete a basic traffic course. After completing the course, you will receive a course certificate that must be brought with you during the practice drive.

Our mandatory traffic training gives you the confidence and knowledge to navigate traffic. The course lasts 17 hours of instruction spread over 5 evenings, including first aid and dark driving. First aid and dark driving are completed after the 10 hours of classroom theory.
If you already have a driving license in class AM, T or A1, a basic traffic course is not required. However, a first aid course and a dark driving demonstration must be completed before you can begin practice driving in a new class.
If you are over 25 years old, you can start practice driving without a basic traffic course. You are also exempt from certain subjects, but must complete a first aid course and a dark driving demonstration before you can obtain a driver's license.
